OLPA 2022 WATER QUALITY TESTING - PHOSPHORUS
Total Phosphorus sample results for April are back. TP was less than 10 PPB for the sampling locations at S. Ore Creek Inlet ("the delta") and the Deep Hole (near the center sandbar) in Ore Lake. The Secchi Disk reading (measuring water clarity) was 15'. These results are excellent for this time of year.
Hoping and praying for a dry and hot summer this year. The big rain storms and flooding events last summer were really difficult for all Ore Lakers. Though we had to deal with all of that, the water quality overall last year was very good!
DONATIONS NEEDED
April 2022, as always, OLPA needs your support to keep the OLPA Water Quality Monitoring Program going. We try to raise $1000 per summer to support this critical activity for our lake. The 2022 testing season has already begun. We have taken Total Phosphorus samples for March and April now. Ore Lake Ice Off this year was officially Mar 20, 2022.
You have been so generous in the past. Any amount will help defer the cost of lab analysis for our samples. Please use Donation Info tab on this website to donate. Proceeds from the sale of the Ore Lake Lore book (available at Boomers & on Amazon) go toward this effort as well.
